Corporal Rongo was born and raised in Bronx, New York. She was a collegiate softball player and attended college on an athletic scholarship at St. Thomas Aquinas College. Corporal Rongo then transferred to NYU and studied abroad and in lived in Florence, Italy. She then decided to move to Florida and graduated from USF with a degree in Criminology and Psychology. Prior to moving to Florida she was a firefighter in New York. Upon moving to Florida she wanted to further her career in law enforcement. Corporal Rongo worked patrol for several years prior to transitioning to her position as a School Resource Officer

Corporal Mitchell

Corporal Mitchell was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He moved to Florida when he was in high school and graduated from River Ridge High School in 1994. Corporal Mitchell wanted to follow his father’s footsteps and started working in the Department of Corrections upon graduating. He then worked for Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Deputy for a year and a half. Corporal Mitchell then went to the crossover academy for patrol and worked 5.5 years with Pinellas Park Police Department. In 2007, he transferred to Pasco County Sheriff’s Office to work alongside with his father. Corporal Mitchell is also a Sergeant with the Florida Army National Guard which he joined at 30 years of age and has served three deployments overseas.
